Caitlin Crouch and Jan-Hendrik Hein were married on July 8, 2017and they held their reception on the wedding lawn at Coral Beach Club. To bring a slice of old Bermudian tradition into the reception, the couple chose to have a classic gold-leaf groom’s cake, complete with a cedar tree sapling, alongside a stunning, three-tiered, red velvet cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. While the bride’s cake was mostly white, the bottom layer was completely covered in edible rose gold paint, the middle had their bespoke “JC” monogram painted on it and white roses and artemesias cascaded down each layer. Created by Coral Beach’s pastry chef, Sabine, both cakes “were beautiful and delicious!” according to the bride.
