What filling and flavour varieties do you work with?

The most popular cake flavors are yellow cake, chocolate, pumpkin, red velvet, coconut and marble, among others. For fillings, couples can choose between fresh berries, lemon curd, chocolate ganache and caramel, although suggestions for new flavors from the bride and groom are welcome.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes?

Three-tiered cakes.  Three tiers give the couple three choices of cake flavors as well as a proportioned cake for decorating purposes.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made?

Although mostly catering to smaller weddings, Sweek Saak Bakery has provided cake and a dessert bar for over 300 guests.

Do you deliver?

Sweek Saak Bakery offers a delivery service, working with wedding planners and locations so that cakes are delivered on time and doing any final detailing at the venue to ensure that the cake is to standard.

How do you price your cakes?

Cake prices are based on design difficulty and each cake is individually priced.

Do you work with florists if a bride wishes fresh flowers atop her cake?

Yes.

Do you make traditional Bermuda wedding cakes?

Sweet Saak Bakery is known for their Avant grade hand painted cakes, but they do offer traditional Bermudian wedding cakes also.

Do you have cake-toppers, a knife, and cake stand available for rent?

Yes, Sweet Saak Bakery can provide items if needed.  If the bride wishes to have her own, they can assist with ordering.

When is the deposit and payment due?

Deposit is due after consultation or order confirmation.  Payment is requested 24 hours prior to the wedding.

Are there any additional fees?

All fees will be itemized and discussed during consultation.

Do you follow a cancellation policy?

Flying Chef

How long in advance is it advisable to book? As much time as possible but minimum of 2 weeks is appreciated.

What filling and flavour varieties do you work with?
Cake flavours include pound, vanilla genoise (sponge), chocolate, chocolate genoise (sponge), chocolate marble, pink marble, red velvet, white chocolate, lemon and raspberry, carrot, banana, German chocolate, cheesecake, coconut.

Covering varieties include fondant, buttercream, gold or silver leaf.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes? Three tiers six-inch, nine-inch and twelve-inch.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made? Seven tiers

Do you deliver? We will deliver island-wide

How do you price your cakes? Pricing is dependent on size and how the bride wants it decorated.

Do you work with florists if a bride wishes fresh flowers atop her cake? Yes, Flying Chef works with the florist but often suggest that the bride organize that the flowers be delivered to us or to be onsite and we will place them on the cake.

Do you make traditional Bermuda wedding cakes? Yes, Flying Chef can make the traditional gold and silver leafed cakes. Prices are subject to the price of gold and silver (advance notice is required for that).

Do you have cake-toppers, a knife, and cake stand available for rent? Most brides supply the cake topper and knife.

When is the deposit and payment due? A deposit is required to secure the date and final payment is due before the wedding day.

Are there any additional fees? There are no additional fees.

Do you follow a cancellation policy?  Flying Chef asks for 2 weeks notice.

How long in advance is it advisable to book? At least one week

What filling and flavour varieties do you work with?
Anything. Most popular requests are red velvet, strawberry shortcake, chocolate, rum and carrot cake.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes? Any number but three or four is ideal especially for outdoors events.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made? Five or six tiers. One of the most interesting cakes Lido has created was the scaled-down replica of the British Royal wedding cake.

Do you deliver? For weddings that take place outside of the Elbow Beach property, delivery or pick up can be arranged with by a third party or the client.

How do you price your cakes? Per portion

Do you work with florists if a bride wishes fresh flowers atop her cake? Yes

Do you make traditional Bermuda wedding cakes? Yes

Do you have cake-toppers, a knife, and cake stand available for rent? Yes. Many prefer to provide their own toppers or knives though, as they like to keep them afterwards.

How long in advance is it advisable to book? It is never too early to plan as popular dates fill quickly and there tend to be “tweaking’s” along the way.

What filling and flavor varieties do you work with? Each cake is custom designed and constructed so we work with each couple to decide on their favorite flavors.  I always recommend not doing nuts or anything that someone might be allergic to.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes? It depends on the number of guests – it could be five tiers or two tiny tiers for a very small wedding.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made? A cake for 300 people.

Do you deliver? Yes.

How do you price your cakes? Since each cake is custom designed, the price depends on the size of the cake and the intricacy of the design.

Yes.

The earlier, the better. For high wedding season, a year advance. Any other time of the year, should be two to three months in advance. This allows time for consulting.

What filling and flavour varieties do you work with?
Fillings include everything from vanilla butter cream to ganache. Recommendations from the couple are welcome.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes?
Three-tiered wedding cakes are ideal.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made?
A five-feet tall, six-tiered cake.

Do you deliver?
Yes. Delivery is completed thirty minutes to one hour before the wedding.

Price is determined by the size of cake, flavour of cake and filling, and complexity of decoration.

How long in advance is it advisable to book? For an occasion such as a wedding, it’s best to book at least six months in advance.

What filling and flavor varieties do you work with? Flavors include vanilla, chocolate, marble, strawberry, coconut, lemon, and red velvet. Buttercream filling is predominately used, which has a wide range of variations from the elegant chai spice, to a fun cookies and cream.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes? The ideal number of tiers for a cake would be four, which generally feeds about 200 people.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made? The biggest cake that Dream Wurx Cakes has created is a five-tiered cake.

What filling and flavour varieties do you work with? Juliette Jackson specializes in providing whatever the bride prefers.  Some of the cake flavors include chocolate, vanilla (lemon), marble, carrot, rum cake, fruit, half and half, cherry walnut, red velvet. Fillings choices include chocolate, strawberry, lemon curd, raspberry and more. Gluten free and sugar free options are available.

What is the ideal number of tiers to one of your wedding cakes? Anything the bride desires.

What is the biggest cake you have ever made? The biggest wedding cake Juliette Jackson has made was a pyramid cake, which was taller than the stepladder she used to set it up.

Do you deliver? Juliette Jackson personally delivers every wedding cake she makes and sets it up myself.

How do you price your cakes? According to bride’s budget and size of the cake.

Do you work with flowers if a bride wishes fresh flowers atop her cake? Yes.  Juliette Jackson also arranges all the flowers on the cake herself as part of her personal service.

Do you make traditional Bermuda wedding cakes? Yes.  Edible gold leaf for the groom and edible silver leaf for the bride.

Do you have cake-toppers, a knife, and cake stands available for rent? A cake stand is available, however the bride supplies her cake knife and topper, as they are personal.

When is the deposit and payment due? The deposit is required when during consultation.  Final payment is due one week before the wedding.

Are there any additional fees? Only if additional services are required, such as cutting the cake and plating it or arrange the slices on trays for serving.

Do you follow any cancellation policy? Yes; the deposit is non-refundable.
