We’re loving the bright colours of Shaquetta and Terry’s July 4, 2015, wedding!
The first time Shaquetta traveled to Bermuda to visit Terry’s family, she thought it was the most beautiful place she’d ever seen! She wanted the colours in their wedding to reflect and compliment the bright hues of the island. Pinks and purples accented the celebration, with the bridesmaids wearing vivid purple and fuchsia dresses and the mothers of the bride and groom wearing coral tones.
After a traditional ceremony at the Unfinished Church in St George’s, Shaquetta changed into a pair of Bermuda blue Converse sneakers with the words “I Do” embroidered on the back. With her dancing shoes on, the bride and groom danced with the H&H Gombey troupe before heading to the World Heritage Centre for their purple bougainvillea-accented reception. Guests sipped on pink punch and were gifted with small bottles of pink Bermuda sand to take home. When asked to describe her wedding day in three words, Shaquetta said, “Best. Day. Ever!”
